Vista Manager 4 1 6 Crackle
Well I just bought the wondeful Sonic Couture Novachord. Being tight I am using it with Kontakt Player.
I am get very nasty audio pops on the attack portions of my notes. Other patches produce a 'Cannot allocate enough memory in Kontakt 4' error. The CPU hit is 50-100%. I often see the red purge indicator. I am using it as a plug-in within Cubase.
I am leaving for India and having problem with sound on my new Dell. The problem was not there before. I have Vista Windows Business and 32 bit. I have a crackling noise in my sound. In device manager look for something that says sound or some such thing. Uninstall from there. Level 1 (10 points). Nov 14, 2008 6:58 PM in response to agostino84. I finally found a fix for the crackling audio in vista. I tried many things and this seems to work 100% for me. Go to control panel, then system then device manager 2. Under network adapters double click the broadcom wireless n adapter.
My audio card is Scope and I run it at 4ms. On the advice of Sonic Couture I tried raising the latency. 7ms was better but still unusable. Mio Gps Update Free Download. 13ms got me to a no-click state but frankly 13ms latency is like playing through treacle: I hit the note, wait. I hear the note.
Installed sequence and drivers are: 1. R182522 Chipset.exe 2. R195365 Display.exe 3. R207267 Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver+Application.exe 3.1. Iata87enu Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver+Application.exe 4. R204518 NIC Ethernet.EXE 5. R206244 IDT Audio.EXE 6. R194579 Intel WiFi 5300. If you have the original install disks which came with the computer or motherboard reload the drivers for the sound circuitry. If missing go to manufacturer's site and and look for drivers for this motherboard. Find out which sound chips are in use either from motherboard manual or Device Manager -- you may.
Not conducive to a live performance. The CPU hit is slightly lower 45-85%. I have tried all sorts of combinations of increasing the buffer load allocation to the max 240kB in KP4, I have switch off the dual processing (I have now switched it back on with better results). I can't get rid of the memory error though and I get silence when that occurs. Is Kontakt Player 4 really this bad?
